USU professor named Fulbright scholar

Utah State University-Uintah Basin awarded English professor Alan Blackstock a Fulbright grant to teach in Ecuador for a semester at the University of Cuenca. Blackstock is the first USU regional ampus faculty member to be named a Fulbright scholar.

ROOSEVELT — Utah State University-Uintah Basin professor Alan Blackstock is headed to Ecuador as the first regional campus faculty member named as a Fulbright scholar.

The English professor was awarded a Fulbright grant to teach in Ecuador for a semester at the University of Cuenca.

"I welcome the opportunity to assist in encouraging student-centered learning, as well as providing assistance in curriculum development, teacher training and mentoring," Blackstock said in a news release.
