Utah State junior Ngor Barnaba will be leaving the men's basketball program. The university confirmed on Monday that the 6-foot-8, 235-pound forward had been granted a release from his scholarship.

Last week, the website VerbalCommits.com listed Barnaba among its annual list of Division I transfers.

Barnaba, who played his first two collegiate seasons at Missouri State-West Plains, played in 24 games (three starts) and averaged 3.0 points and 2.7 rebounds per game. He played 11.5 minutes per game and shot 32.5 percent from the floor (27-for-83 overall and 7-for-37 on 3-pointers).

The Aggies figure to have increased competition for playing time in the frontcourt next season despite the graduation of all-conference and NABC and USBWA all-district honoree Jalen Moore.
