PORTLAND, Ore. — Remember last season when the Utah Jazz were plagued by injuries?
Unfortunately, that's how the team is beginning the 2016-17 campaign as well.
Both Gordon Hayward and Derrick Favors participated in individual workouts after the team's shootaround session this morning at the Moda Center, but neither will suit up for the Jazz for the season-opener against the Portland Trail Blazers (8 p.m. MDT, ROOT).
Favors is doing more with the team lately, but the 6-foot-10 power forward continues to be hampered by knee and IT band issues.
