Morning links: BYU player recognized for prep career as QB; Rodney Hood a projected top-12 shooting guard

Zack Poff of Max Preps released a video ranking the top 10 high school quarterbacks in the nation over the last decade and former Jordan High and current BYU player Austin Kafentzis made the list.

He came in at No. 9 in the rankings, just ahead of Johnny Manziel, after taking home two Utah Gatorade Football Player of the Year Awards and setting the Utah state records in career rushing and passing yards, according to the video.

Other signal callers to make the list were Deshaun Watson, Matt Barkley and Jake Browning.

Kafentzis isn't the only high school player from Utah to garner recognition from Max Preps in recent weeks.
