Fan shows his long-distance, life-long loyalty to Utah Jazz — all the way from Israel

Good luck finding a bigger Jazz devotee in the world, let alone Utah, as Gilad Perry, who's been a fan since he was a boy growing up in Israel.

“It’s just unexplainable. It’s like love. You cannot explain true love.”

When Gilad Perry was growing up, his favorite good guy from the Transformers TV show was an Autobot named Jazz.

When the impressionable 12-year-old basketball fan saw a logo of an NBA team with the same name, it was love at first sight even though he lived nearly 7,000 miles away from Salt Lake City.

Twenty-six years later, Perry remains the Utah Jazz’s biggest fan in Israel.
