Agent: Timberwolves agree to terms with Andre Miller

Sacramento Kings guard Andre Miller, left, drives against Los Angeles Lakers guard Jordan Clarkson during the second half of an NBA basketball game in Sacramento, Calif., Monday, April 13, 2015. The Kings won 102-92.

MINNEAPOLIS — Andre Miller's agent tells The Associated Press his client has agreed to terms with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Wolves hosted Miller for a visit to the team's facility on Wednesday. A few hours later, he reached an agreement, agent Andy Miller said. Terms of the deal were not immediately available.

With Ricky Rubio coming off of ankle surgery and rookie Tyus Jones as the backup, the Timberwolves had a need for an experienced point guard who could play at the end of games and step in in case of an injury.
