UTA Volleyball head coach Diane Seymour announced her retirement from coaching Monday.

Seymour was selected to the head coach position in 2004, and since she has coached the team for 13 seasons. Her ties to UTA Volleyball spans three decades. She played for the Mavericks from 1985 to 1988. She helped the team reach its first NCAA tournament appearance in 1985 and earned a 140-41 record by the end of her playing career. Seymour returned to UTA in 1996 as an assistant coach.
