Senior pitcher Kadon Simmons signed an undrafted free agent contract with the Milwaukee Brewers.
As a free agent, a player is not bound by a contract, so they are eligible to sign with another franchise.

The right-handed pitcher is the fourth UTA Baseball member to be selected in the draft or signed by an MLB organization in 2017. Other Mavericks selected in the 2017 MLB Draft include senior pitcher Austin Gardner in the ninth round, junior pitcher Jakob Hernandez in the 21st round and senior catcher Brady Cox in the 36th round.
