The track and field team will be down a pole vaulter for the 2017-18 season.
Freshman standout Helen Falda announced she will continue her career at the University of South Dakota.
Falda made her mark in the UTA record books during her freshman campaign after claiming the Sun Belt Conference title and the breaking school record in women’s pole vaulting during the indoor and outdoor seasons. She was also named as the Sun Belt Conference women’s field athlete of the week four times during the 2016-17 season.
The Turn, Italy, native also punched her ticket to the NCAA Championships, where she tied for eighth place clearing 4.
