After three rounds of play at the Sun Belt Championship, the men’s golf team finished in 11th place out of a 12-team field Monday at Raven Golf Club in Phoenix.
UTA finished round one in a tie for ninth place, scoring 13-over par after a three-hour weather delay Sunday.
Senior Zach Galliford led the Mavericks in the first round, shooting 1-under par 70, good for seventh place individually. However, Galliford dropped into a tie for 38th with an overall score of 12-over par in his last tournament as a UTA golfer.
