As I saw Green Bay Packers kicker Mason Crosby’s 51-yard field goal sail through the uprights Sunday, I wasn’t surprised.

The Texas Rangers were one strike away from a World Series win, twice, but lost. The Dallas Mavericks make the playoffs almost every year (but most likely not this year) to get knocked out in the first round. Other than the championship season, the Mavericks have been knocked out in the first round in six of the last 10 years.
