Four-star wide receiver Tyler Vaughns (La Puenta, CA) told 247sports that the USC Trojans are 'ahead of' Georgia and Alabama in his recruitment, while Notre Dame, Texas, and UCLA are still 'actively' recruiting him.
Vaughns still plans to announce August 22 in a press conference setting at his high school.
"(Trojans wide receivers) coach Tee (Martin) is a great man, great coach," Vaughns said. "He develops his receivers. (I like) how he carries himself on the field. How he keeps his receivers together."
Vaughns is ranked as the nation's No. 3 wide receiver and the No. 4 prospect in the state of California in the 2016 class.
