For the fourth time in seven years, USC didn’t have a player selected in the first round of the NFL Draft. One-time first round prospect Su’a Cravens fell into the second round due his status as a tweener.
That allowed Ohio State to trim the Trojans’ lead of first rounders, with the Buckeyes having a draft-high five selections taken on the first night of the draft. That included Top 5 picks Joey Bosa and Ezekiel Elliott, giving OSU 76 first round picks to USC’s 79.
However, outlasting Notre Dame with 496 all-time picks in USC football history is just fine with the Trojans.
