Leon McQuay III is now a Chief. Kansas City made the surprise selection with the No. 218 pick in the 2017 NFL Draft.
McQuay is the fourth Trojan to be selected in the 2017 NFL Draft after Adoree’ Jackson in the first round by the Tennessee Titans, JuJu Smith-Schuster in the second round by the Pittsburgh Steelers and Zach Banner in the fourth round by the Indianapolis Colts.
The Chiefs nabbed the safety with the final pick in the round.
McQuay arrived at USC with high expectations as a five-star prospect, but it took some time for him to settle in as a major contributor for the Trojans.
