After three days of waiting, plus a little longer, Damien Mama has a new team: the Kansas City Chiefs. He’s one of a handful of players from USC to not get selected in the 2017 NFL Draft, including Chad Wheeler, Justin Davis and Darreus Rogers.
Mama opted to leave USC as a junior with one year of eligibility remaining. He notched 30 career starts at left guard, making the All-Pac-12 honorable mentions list as a sophomore in 2015 and the All-Pac-12 second team in his final season in 2016.

At 6-foot-4, 325, Mama was renown in the lead up to the draft for his wide base and ability as a mover in the run game.
