3 Reasons Why USC Is GUARANTEED To Beat Arizona State

The USC Trojans are coming off an upset loss at the hands of the Stanford Cardinal, but they have plans to bounce back this week. The Trojans face off against Arizona State in USC's first road game of the season. Here are three reasons why USC is guaranteed to win this weekend.

Stronger Ground Game

ASU's ground game is solid, having picked up 472 yards and 4 TDs on 116 carries through three games. However, USC's is much better. USC has run the ball 19 fewer times, but has 152 more yards and five more TDs. The Trojans can bust a big run at any time, something Arizona State hasn't proven it can do.

Better Defense

Yes, USC gave up 31 points to Stanford. However, that won't be the case for much of the season going forward. USC had a bad showing against the Cardinal, but they shut down Arkansas State and Idaho. The defense will play much better against the Sun Devils and USC will leave with a win because of it.

Cody Kessler

Kessler is a better QB than Mike Bercovici (who's no slouch), and that will be a big advantage in the game. Kessler is completing almost 80 percent of his passes and has 10 TDs against zero INTs. He's had nothing but big games and that shouldn't change against the Sun Devils. There won't be any miracle Hail Marys this time and Kessler will lead USC to a win.
