The LA Galaxy announced on Tuesday that U.S. international Sebastian Lletget will undergo foot surgery and be sidelined for four to six months.
Initial reports of his diagnosis were positive with scans showing no significant damage. Unfortunately, further tests revealed the true injury to be a Lisfranc injury.
It was originally thought that the injury was a left foot strain, however, the medical team of U.S. Soccer and LA Galaxy, headed by foot and ankle specialist Dr. Rachel Triche, determined that Lletget will require surgery next week when the swelling comes down.
