Almost one year ago, the Washington Mystics announced former UConn Huskies women’s basketball two-time All-American Bria Hartley would miss the rest of the 2016 season due to pregnancy.
On January 14th, Hartley gave birth to her son, Bryson Noah. Two weeks later, she was part of a three-team trade with the Seattle Storm, New York Liberty and Washington Mystics that saw her end up with the Liberty, close to where she grew up in North Babylon, NY. Being close to home has allowed Hartley to get help from her family with the care of her son while she continues her professional career.
