Easter Sunday was especially happy for UCLA Football, as it picked up the commitment of consensus 4-star safety Cam’ron Jones (Mansfield, TX/Mansfield). The Bruins beat out Oklahoma, Texas Tech, and many others for the pledge of the coveted defensive back.
Jones committed to Texas Tech in September of his junior year, but decommitted a couple months later as his recruiting profile began to take off following a superb junior season at his previous high school Euless Trinity.
UCLA was consistently on Jones since offering him in October and that persistence looked like it would pay off when Jones named the Bruins his leader in early March and said he would commit on Easter Sunday.
