UCLA agrees to 15-year, $280 million deal with Under Armour

LOS ANGELES – UCLA and Under Armour announced a record-setting 15-year apparel and shoe deal Tuesday worth $280 million. It is the richest in the history of college athletics, surpassing a 15-year, $252 million deal Ohio State inked with Nike in January.

On July 1, 2017, Under Armour will replace UCLA’s longtime uniform supplier, adidas, as the designer of game-day and training apparel. Uniforms, starting with fall sports, will roll out with an Under Armour logo.

“At the core of the decision we made to go with Under Armour, it was clearly about the student-athlete,” UCLA athletic director Dan Guerrero said.
