It is official… Russell Westbrook is the NBA MVP for the 2016-17 season, adding to his illustrious collection of honors which includes six NBA All-Star appearances, two NBA All-Star MVPs and two scoring titles.

The former Bruin had an incredible season with the Oklahoma City Thunder as he ended his season averaging a triple double with 31.6 points per game, 10.7 rebounds and 10.4 assists.
Speaking of triple-doubles, Westbrook now holds the NBA record for most triple-doubles in one season (47) and most points ever in a triple double (57).
