UCF eager to show its defense can contain prolific Maryland offense

For the second consecutive week, UCF's defense will be tested against a productive Big Ten offense when the Knights take on Maryland Saturday night.

The Terrapins (2-0) scored 93 points in the past two weeks against Howard and FIU. Before Maryland, the Knights (1-1) faced a Michigan team that routed Hawaii by 63 points in its season opener.

While Maryland wasn't as successful as Michigan last season, the Terrapins have worked to bring a more explosive offense to Bright House Networks Stadium under first-year head coach D.J. Durkin.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.
