TAMPA — The UCF football team ended the regular season on a painful two-game losing streak, including a 48-31 loss to bitter rival to USF.
But senior linebacker Errol Clarke said the Knights' underclassmen were saddled with more of the hurt feelings after Saturday's loss.
"The younger guys [were] saying all this week they were gonna play hard for the older guys and us not coming through with this win, I think, really hurt the younger guys more than the older guys," Clarke said.
The good news for the Knights is they get one final opportunity to close the 2016 season on a high note with a bowl game appearance.
