UAB Softball dropped two games in a Saturday doubleheader to the Louisiana Tech University Bulldogs. Game one stayed close as the Bulldogs pulled ahead early by one. However, La Tech extended their lead to 5-0 after a four-run sixth inning.
In game two, a pitcher's duel broke out as both teams were scoreless through eight innings. In the ninth, La Tech launched a home run to center field and would win 1-0.
The final game of the series kicks off tomorrow at 1:00 p.m at Mary Bowers Field. It will be Bark in the Park day, so attendees are encouraged to bring their four-legged friends.
