TULSA, Okla. –– Tulsa put up a strong effort before falling 98-58 to the No.1-ranked UConn Huskies Wednesday night in front of 1,391 fans at the Donald W. Reynolds Center. UConn won for the 92nd straight time and improved its season record to 17-0 and an American Athletic Conference mark to 5-0, while Tulsa fell to 5-13 overall and 1-4 in conference play.
Freshman Shug Dickson led the Hurricane with 21 points, followed by 11 points from junior Liesl Spoerl and sophomore Tatyana Perez.
