FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Tulsa Track and Field team ran their first meet of 2017 as they competed at the Arkansas Invitational at the Randal Tyson Track Center on Friday evening. The women and men both totaled six top-five finishes on the evening, including a strong showing by the women in the 600-meters and 1,000-meters. The Tulsa men took second and third in the 600-meters and earned a medal in the field events as freshman Aleks Rapp took first in the weight throw for the second straight meet.
Rapp's 19.39m (63-7.5) toss was the second-best in school history, second to the freshman's mark of 64-7.
