Tulane offense takes step back in 24-14 loss to Memphis

Tulane was hoping that games like Friday night were a thing of the past.

After scoring 72 points over the last two games and having Glen Cuiellette solidify himself as the team's starting quarterback, the Green Wave (3-3, 0-2 in American Athletic Conference) believed it had moved past some of the anemic performances that haunted the offense at points during the beginning of the season.

But the team struggled to find any rhythm offensively once again as it stumbled to a 24-14 loss to AAC foe Memphis (5-1, 2-0 in AAC) at Yulman Stadium.

"It was really disappointing," Tulane coach Willie Fritz said of his offense's regression.
