Tulane offense sputters in second half, falls 80-64 to SMU

Tulane looked like it was capable of hanging with one of the American Athletic Conference's top teams for much of Sunday night's game, but things fell apart for them in the second half.

The Green Wave (4-13, 1-4 in AAC) squandered a strong first-half performance and saw things slip away as SMU came away with a 80-64 victory at Fogelman Arena in Devlin Fieldhouse on Sunday night.

After going into halftime with a two-point lead, SMU (15-4, 5-1 in AAC) broke the game open with a 12-0 run to start the second half and Jarrey Foster's three-point play that gave the Mustangs a 49-35 advantage.
