It wasn't much of a surprise, but Tulane coach Willie Fritz announced at his final press conference of the spring on Tuesday that Jonathan Banks will be the Green Wave's starting quarterback going into the fall.
Banks was taking many of the team's first-team reps at quarterback during the latter part of spring practice and separated himself with his combination of athleticism and throwing ability.
Tulane held its annual spring game at Yulman Stadium on Saturday
"He did a good job this spring picking things up. We evaluated practices 1 through 15 and I thought, for a guy coming into a new situation, he did a very good job," Fritz said.
