Troy coach Neal Brown has led his team to a bowl game during the second year of being the head coach of the Trojans.
Troy accepted a bid to the Dollar General Bowl in Mobile Sunday and will face Ohio – the same Bobcats program the Trojans walloped 48-21 in the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl in 2010. The game kicks off on Dec. 23 at 7 p.m. at Ladd-Peebles Stadium.
The bowl berth is the Trojans’ sixth since joining the FBS in 2001 and the program’s second trip to the bowl game in Mobile (2009).
