Former Troy star running back Brandon Burks, who played for the NFL’s Green Bay Packers and the New York Jets last year, was arrested Saturday night in Enterprise on a drug possession charge.
According to Coffee County Jail records, the 23-year-old Burks was booked into the facility about 9:30 p.m. Saturday on a misdemeanor second-degree marijuana possession charge. According to the Enterprise Police Department, the arrest followed a traffic stop on Morgan Lane.
Burks, listed with a Troy address, was one of four occupants in the vehicle, the EPD spokesman said. Officers spotted marijuana “in very close proximity to the arrestee,” or Burks.
