TROY – A quick start from the Troy women’s basketball team not only secured a key Sun Belt Conference win Saturday – it also cemented some history.
Troy blistered the nets for 31 points in the first quarter, building an 18-point lead by the end of the period in an 85-68 victory over Texas-Arlington at Trojan Arena. Both teams entered the game 4-0 in the conference, and the first-quarter outpouring ensured Troy registered its first 5-0 start in conference play in program history.
