DeMarcus Ware signs with Dallas Cowboys to retire

announced his retirement from the NFL on March 13. But the Auburn native officially retired on Monday after signing a one-day contract with the Dallas Cowboys.

Ware spent the first nine of his first 12 NFL seasons with the Cowboys after Dallas selected him out of Troy with the 11th choice in the 2005 NFL Draft. The outside linebacker earned seven Pro Bowl invitations and was a four-time All-Pro for the Cowboys.

"This has always been home to me," Ware said. "Where you start at, it's where you want to finish.
