TROY — Sidney Davis had an unusual chore the first few days of Troy’s preseason practice.
He had to go around and introduce himself.
Davis knew scant few of his teammates, only from a recruiting visit, and had reached campus for good just the day before.
Either a name tag or proper introductions were in order.
“Sidney was one of those guys who came late, wasn’t he?” running back Jordan Chunn remembered this week. “It’s weird because it was the first day of practice.”
