The Toronto Raptors’ new NBA Development League team was announced on Tuesday. The ‘Raptors 905’ will play in Mississauga, Ontario at the Hershey Centre.
The location is only a 25 minute drive from the Raptors home at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto which makes it easy for players to practice in the morning with the Raptors and play in a game with the Raptors 905 at night.
The D-League team for the Raptors is a great investment in rookie development and a significant stamp on Masai Ujiri’s legacy. “Raptors 905 will give our young players a great opportunity to develop and gain valuable experience, while providing high level, affordable basketball to the community.
