Raptors coaching shakeup begins as Bayno departs

The exodus of Toronto Raptors assistant coaches has begun, and will continue.

League sources have confirmed a CBS Sports report that the team is parting ways with Bill Bayno, while saying at least one and perhaps two others will soon be gone.

There was no confirmation on which of Tom Sterner, Jesse Murmuys or Nick Nurse would leave.

Bayno joined the Raptors in the summer of 2013 after leaving Minnesota and has spent a lot of time working with centre Jonas Valanciunas.

It has been expected general manager Masai Ujiri would be looking for an older, more experience aide to head coach Dwane Casey, who would have to sign off on any changes before they take place.
