WATCH: Mitch Marner’s four-point game vs. Brandon at the Memorial Cup

Last year’s Memorial Cup tournament points leader was Leon Draisatl with seven in five games. Marner’s nine points — through two games — would have led or tied for the tournament scoring lead in six of the last seven Memorial Cups.

The highest individual total on the Memorial Cup’s statistics page, dating back to 1999, is 12 by Gilbert Brule in 2006, accomplished over five games.

Marner’s points streak stands at eighteen, and he’s now up to 53 points in 20 playoff/tournament games.
