Brown was a major part of the Toronto Marlies playoff push and late season success, with the Toronto Maple Leafs prospect racking up 61 points in 76 games. The biggest question with Brown, though, is where does he fit in the future of the Toronto Maple Leafs?
It’s hard to ignore his ability to contribute offensively, but with prospects like William Nylander, Mitch Marner and Kasperi Kapanen as potential top-six additions to current top-sixers James van Riemsdyk and Nazem Kadri there isn’t much room for Brown as a top-six player with Toronto anytime soon.
That doesn’t even take into account who the Toronto Maple Leafs could add at the 2016 NHL Draft, or via trade.
