Toronto Maple Leafs Sign Corrado, Holland

The Toronto Maple Leafs signed Peter Holland to a one year deal worth $1.3M. It’s in the neighborhood of J.T. Brown from the Tampa Bay Lightning, which is right along the comparison I wrote about a month ago.

“Take J.T. Brown from Tampa as a comparable. They’re of similar age and possession numbers, with Brown getting the edge in 5v5 P/60 and Holland taking tougher zone starts. Brown is on a $1.25M cap hit contract, which shouldn’t be too far off what Holland gets in arbitration, or at least what he’s actually worth.” (EIL)

Holland got the dollar amount he likely deserves and the term of one year is all he’s earned.
