Is this a sign that Kyle Dubas’ tenure with the Leafs is to be short-lived?
During tonight’s Senators - Penguins game, Elliotte Friedman reported in the intermission panel on Hockey Night in Canada that the Avalanche have asked the Leafs for permission to interview Dubas, and have received the go-ahead.
There were no further details about what type of position was on offer. Dubas has been Assistant General Manager in Toronto since the summer of 2014.
The Avalanche currently have Joe Sakic as de facto General Manger, although he is also a Vice President.
