Maple Leafs sign Daniel Winnik to two-year deal

Daniel Winnik to a two-year contract.

Winnik, 30, registered 25 points (seven goals, 18 assists) in 58 games with the Maple Leafs last season before he was traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins on February 25, where he collected nine points (two goals, seven assists) in 21 games. In 569 career NHL games with Toronto, Pittsburgh, Anaheim, San Jose, Colorado and Phoenix, Winnik has totaled 184 points (58 goals, 126 assists). He was originally selected by the Phoenix Coyotes in the ninth round (265th overall) of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
