Daniel Winnik Returns To Maple Leafs On Two Year Deal

After being traded at the deadline to the Pittsburgh Penguins, Daniel Winnik is back with the Toronto Maple Leafs on a two year deal worth $2.25M per season. That’s just under a million dollar raise from his one year deal with the Leafs last year.

Just when you thought the Leafs might have been done for the day, they scoop up Winnik on another dollar savvy deal.

This is, yet again, another signing directed towards righting the possession ship in Toronto. Winnik was one of the Toronto Maple Leafs best possession players last year and that led to his good return at the trade deadline.
