Toronto FC bound for MLS Cup final

Toronto FC are on their way to the MLS Cup final, after a series win over the Montreal Impact at BMO Field on Wednesday night.

The Reds beat rivals Montreal Impact 3-2 in regulation time to send the Eastern Conference final into extra time, before goals from substitutes Benoit Cheyrou and Tosaint Ricketts made sure it was the first Canadian club to ever vie for Major League Soccer's championship trophy.

Joy mixed with relief as a sold out BMO Field chanted “This is our house” ahead of TFC lifting the conference trophy.

The Reds are the first Canadian team to advance to an MLS Cup final.
