TFC’s Nick Hagglund reinjures MCL, out 6-8 weeks

Reds defender took a spill and caught his left leg underneath his body, spraining the ligament which already caused him to miss almost three months of action.

Toronto FC defender Nick Hagglund, right, shown in a game on May 3, was injured during last Saturday's win against the Portland Timbers. Hagglund sprained his left medial collateral ligament — the same ligament that he tore earlier this season.

Toronto FC defender Nick Hagglund will be out of action for six to eight weeks with a left medial collateral ligament sprain.

Hagglund suffered the injury in the first half of Toronto’s 4-1 Major League Soccer home win against the Portland Timbers on Saturday.
