Aaron Sanchez dominant again in Blue Jays win over Padres

Aaron Sanchez made another trip to the mound Monday and laid another brick in the wall that stands between himself and an assignment to the Blue Jay bullpen.

The story of Aaron Sanchez’s destiny has grown so old and the premise keeps getting more and more flimsy, but it hangs like a cloud over one of the best pitching seasons by a Blue Jay starting pitcher in recent memory.

All Sanchez did was toss seven shutout innings, allowing just three hits — two of which were infield singles — in a 4-2 victory to run his record to 11-1.
