REPORT: Blue Jays Making "Major Push" For David Price

The Toronto Blue Jays are currently making a “major push” to acquire star lefty David Price, according to Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com. He also notes that the Jays have a lot of young, talented pitching prospects that the Tigers really like.

Fox Sports' Jon Morsoi offers his take on what it might take for Toronto to get a deal done:

Toronto has pursuing one or more arms to bolster their staff for weeks, and the acquisition of Price would certainly do that and then some.

The Blue Jays already made a splash this week by trading for shortstop Troy Tulowitzki, and their aggressive behavior signals that they think they can really make a move in the AL East logjam.

While Toronto now appears to be the frontrunners to land him, the Cubs, Giants, Yankees, and Dodgers have all had conversations with the Tigers about Price in the past 24 hours.
