TORONTO - The deal for David Price appears to be your classic rental, as the gifted lefty is eligible for free agency at the end of the season.
Blue Jays general manager Alex Anthopoulos was asked about the chances of locking him up with a contract extension.
"I think every team in baseball would love to have David Price on their team long term," Anthopoulos said. "It's not our focus right now. You guys know my stance on contract negotiations, if we decide to do any of them, hopefully nobody knows. It's safe to say every team in baseball would love to have this guy on their team long term.
