The Cleveland Indians have dealt with one too many freak injuries already this postseason -- Trevor Bauer's drone mishap had the potential to reshape the American League Championship Series, after all. Fortunately for the Indians, it looks like they avoided a significant blow to second baseman Jason Kipnis.
Kipnis sprained his ankle while celebrating with double-play mate Francisco Lindor following the Indians' pennant-clinching Game 5 victory. Yet Kipnis ought to be ready in time for Tuesday's World Series opener, per manager Terry Francona:
Francona described Kipinis' injury as a low ankle sprain.
