Red Sox rookie outfielder Andrew Benintendi left Wednesday night's game against the Rays in the seventh inning after suffering a knee injury.
Benintendi, 22, rolled awkwardly on his left leg while trying to get back to second base and had to be helped off the field. After the game, he was diagnosed with a left knee sprain with further evaluation scheduled for Thursday.

According to the Tufts Medical Center, an ACL injury for Benintendi is not out of the question, but remains unlikely considering the origin of the injury.
