U.S. women one step closer to Rio Olympics with victory over Mexico

With Saturday's victory over Mexico, the U.S. women's national soccer team secured a semifinals berth in North America's Olympic qualifying tournament.

Its next important match on the road to Rio comes Feb. 19. That's when the U.S. will play either Mexico or Costa Rica. Win, and the Americans can book their trip to Rio.
